R-7
Torcon's R-7 series readers were designed for robotic loading and control. The
plate is accessible to the robot from three sides. A footprint of 8.5 by 22
inch gives extra room on the robotic table. All Torcon Luminometers incorporate
a patented aperture plate providing the best optical design for sensitivity
without crosstalk. RS-232 communication with the robotic system allows the operator
to perform many operations of the reader. An optional network card allows results to
be transmitted to centralized databases. The four detector 384 well reader
reads a plate in 50 seconds. The single 96 well reader reads a plate in 45
seconds.
